Mother Nature's Revenge!

My husband had the day off yesterday, so what better than to spend a nice hot day at the local kiddie beach.

After a long week, I wanted nothing more than to not wash dishes, so I used some left over paper plates from my daughter's birthday.

So why do I still have a sink full of dirty dishes?!??!?!

Karma, I tell ya!

Happy birthday, Genevieve!

My daughter turns two tomorrow, and I cannot believe how fast time flies!

She really did grow up fast, she is already 3 feet tall at 2 years old.  She gets it from  my tall husband (6'2").

I decided not to throw her a party this year, and instead just have a fun family day on her actual birthday. 

But to remember her 2nd birthday, we decided to do a Princess and the Frog photoshoot to capture her essence.

If you are in the Ventura County area, Valentin Mendoza is a great photographer, and although his work is fantastic, he is especially awesome when it comes to children!

In this shot, he took off his shoes and went in the water to get this shot of her by the "pond!" I love the way it came out! 

I made the big, green "2" from coam core and green streamer.  The dress was given to her by her great aunt Martha, who brought it from Mexico on one of her visits.
